Climb of Hope

a serious game for a serious game jam

"A Climb Of Hope" was the product of a one week jam. The goal was to create games for children affected by chronic illness, and our team decided to tackle some of the psychological hardships these kids are facing: to create a more positive attitude towards hospitals, all checkpoints in the game are hospitals. Here the player can empower themselves and acquire new skills. Each of the enemies the hero encounters on their path represents one of the stages of illness: the first boss, for example, depicts the anger a child feels when they are first diagnosed.
